Schindler MENA Office

Regional headquarters for the global elevator and escalator group

Location Dubai, UAE
Role Tabbarah Muhyiddine, Founder — 48 Seven
Scope Interior design and FF&E
Scale 1,570 sqm

1,570 sqm regional headquarters

Tabbarah Muhyiddine led this project through 48 Seven, coordinating with Schindler's global brand team on identity standards and with the landlord on base build interfaces. Schindler's corporate guidelines are precise — the Dubai office had to match the identity set in Switzerland while serving a territory that runs from North Africa to the Gulf.

The brief covered three kinds of workspace on one floor: engineering operations, commercial sales, and a client-facing experience centre where Schindler could show its elevator and escalator systems to regional clients and visiting delegations. Materials, colour palette, and signage went through regular review cycles with the Swiss brand team. Where regional climate or local construction methods made a direct match impractical, adaptations were agreed case by case.

Layout and fit-out

The floor breaks into three zones, each with its own character but held together by a shared material palette:

• Engineering and operations — open-plan desks, coordination rooms, storage for technical documentation

• Sales and executive — private offices, meeting rooms, reception

• Experience centre — product showcase with flexible display systems built to change as the range evolves

FF&E was specified and procured through 48 Seven. Fit-out was coordinated with the landlord's base build team on services, access, and sequencing. Bespoke reception and display elements went through a full mock-up programme before fabrication. The office is now Schindler's MENA hub.
